Pastor David

Pastor David

Lead Pastor

From as early as I can remember, the one thing I have enjoyed the most is making others shine. From the assists on the basketball court, to blocking on the football field, and coaching others to success. Secondly, I have always placed a high value on relationships and it guides me in everything I do. The result of combining both of these important values together has created a perfect place to serve as the Lead Pastor of The Chapel. My passion is to lead people into a state of timeless transformation so that they to can have deeper relationship with a living God. I have been married for 34 years to Donna and have the joy of being called dad by all of my kids. Marissa (Daughter), Darren (Son-in-law), Jordan (Son), and Kayla (daughter-in-law). Our kids have also given us four wonderful grands. So, if you want to play a round of golf, take a hike, or take in some of the best that the metro area has to give when it comes to restaurants ... let me know and we will go.

Family Ministry Pastor

I have spent many years in the ministry: working with youth groups, children’s and women’s ministries, worship leading, and pastoral counseling. A few years ago, I completed my Master’s in Counseling degree from Multnomah University, and I have a professional private practice in Washington state. I met David and Donna Brown many years ago; at that time we were all serving as Youth Ministers at different churches in Oregon. There is a serendipitous feeling about serving in ministry alongside them now all these years later, working in Family Ministry at The Chapel. I have enjoyed raising my three children (all adults now). Some of our favorite pastimes are creating music together, singing songs, playing games, being silly, and hanging out with our two year-old puppy Wally, (AKA “Trouble”). I am thrilled to be welcomed here into this church community, and I look forward to combining my love for the Lord with my passion for family ministry. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories, and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Office Manager / Administrator

It's a dream job ... to be able to help our church be the best it can be by lending my skills in organization and management. I wouldn't want to be doing anything else. I have worked in many administrative and management positions in my years of working, and this is by far the most rewarding place I have ever been. We have been part of The Chapel since its first birthday in 1998 and have loved working alongside Pastor David and Donna. To be able to support the ministries of the church via planning and scheduling is a lot of fun. We have a lot of community events here at The Chapel that reach many areas of society. I am also in charge of renting the building to outside users for parties, events, as well as to other non-profits.

I have been married for 44 years to my husband, Wayne, and we both enjoy our two kids, Matt and Anamie, along with our seven grandchildren.

Youth Leader

I am the contact person (the dashing, daring, and digitally savvy director) for our youth department. I love the small group atmosphere on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, as well as the ridiculousness that comes about at movie nights, retreats, all-nighters, and other gatherings. When I’m not moonlighting with our youth, I spend much of my time practicing snappy comebacks with the students in my 7th grade language arts classroom. I enjoy reading (although I don’t do it as much as a language arts teacher probably should), sitting around a fire pit with close friends, traveling to places I’ve never been, and long walks on the beach.
